I have dreamed
dreamed I
I was another
I have dreamed
and I reached out past another’s sleeping
and there before me was another’s life
oh
and all the dreams still locked in another’s eyes
how many lives
how many deaths
how many truths
and wickedness
can I hold in another’s hands?
oh
I have dreamed
I have dreamed
I was ten thousand men
alive in ten thousands worlds
held in another’s
another’s hands
in another’s hands
in another’s hands
I have dreamed

Song Notes: This was written for a surreal movie scene when Dr. Jekyll awakes, exhausted, from a night doing things he can barely recall as the uninhibited and lawless Mr. Hyde. The memories come back like a dream. Entcho Todorov's violin improvises with Hungarian flourishes that evoke exactly the right emotions. All other instruments, as in track 1, are played by me. The song ends in an exhaustion that is beyond the physical. The songs sounds best in headphones, by the way.
